You need to declare all medical conditions that fall within our medical health disclosure requirements and provide full and accurate information.
What this article helps you do
This article explains which medical circumstances you need to tell us about and what to do if you do not yet have a diagnosis.
What do I need to declare?
You must tell us if you or anyone else insured on the policy has:
- taken prescribed medication or required medical treatment within the last two years
- been registered as an inpatient or outpatient at a hospital, clinic or GP surgery within the last two years
- been advised of a terminal illness
You must provide full and accurate information about your medical circumstances.
What if I am waiting for treatment?
Your cover can also be affected if you have been placed on a waiting list that could cause you to cancel or cut short your trip.
If you are unsure how a waiting list or planned treatment affects your policy, speak to an adviser.
What if I do not have a diagnosis yet?
We are unable to cover undiagnosed conditions.
If you have symptoms but do not yet know the underlying condition, do not guess your diagnosis. Speak to an adviser if you are unsure what information you need to provide.
What if my health changes?
You must tell us if your health circumstances change after you buy your policy.
This includes developing a new condition, a change to an existing medical condition or a change to your medication.
Still need help?
Speak to an adviser if you are unsure what medical information you need to declare.
Eligibility, terms and exclusions apply. Please refer to your policy documents for full details.
