What is the maximum trip duration?

The maximum length of your trip depends on whether you have a Single Trip or Annual Multi-Trip policy. Limits can also vary depending on your plan, age and destination.

Single Trip policies

A Single Trip policy covers trips lasting up to 12 months.

Trips longer than 12 months are not covered by this policy.

Annual Multi-Trip policies

With an Annual Multi-Trip policy, you can take several trips during the year. However, each individual trip has a maximum duration:

  • Budget: up to 31 days per trip
  • Silver: up to 45 days per trip
  • Gold: up to 45 days per trip
  • Black: up to 55 days per trip

The maximum total number of days you can be covered across all trips in a policy year is 183 days

Are there different limits for some destinations?

Yes. If you are 71 or older and travelling to the USA, Canada, Mexico or the Caribbean, different limits apply:

  • Silver: up to 35 days per trip
  • Gold: up to 35 days per trip
  • Black: up to 35 days per trip

Your trip must remain within the duration and destination limits shown in your policy.
