Insurance Premium Tax for Channel Islands residents
If you live in the Channel Islands:
- Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) is not included in premiums for new policies
- IPT is not included in premiums for adjustments to existing policies
Reciprocal healthcare in the Channel Islands
Reciprocal Healthcare Agreements are in place between the UK and the Channel Islands, except for Guernsey.
If you need emergency medical treatment while visiting a destination covered by a reciprocal healthcare agreement:
- you will receive similar treatment to that provided by the NHS
- you can still submit a claim for emergency medical expenses that are not covered by the reciprocal healthcare arrangements
Your claim will remain subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of your policy.
