What activities do you cover under winter sports?

We cover all of the following activities in our winter sports travel insurance:

  1. Bobsleighing*
  2. Cat skiing
  3. Cross country skiing
  4. Freestyle skiing*
  5. Glacier walking or trekking (under 3000m) (Requires hazardous activities)
  6. Ice climbing under 100m (fully supervised) *
  7. Ice fishing
  8. Ice hockey*
  9. Luge on snow/ice*
  10. Monoskiing
  11. Off piste skiing/snowboarding (except in areas considered to be unsafe by resort management)
  12. Recreational ski or snowboard racing
  13. Skeletons*
  14. Ski acrobatics*
  15. Ski bob racing*
  16. Ski racing or training (non-professional) *
  17. Ski stunting*
  18. Ski touring (with a guide)
  19. Ski/snowboard fun parks*
  20. Skiing
  21. Snowmobiling*
  22. Snowboarding
  23. Tobogganing.

Please note: Activities in the above list marked with * carry an increased medical excess of £250 and cover under the Personal Accident and Personal Liability sections does not apply.

You will not be covered if you take part in the following winter sports activities: Ski flying, ski jumping or ski mountaineering.
