Emergency Assistance

If you have a medical emergency while you are abroad, call the Zurich Assist emergency team right away. Use the emergency number listed in your policy documents.

When should I contact Zurich Assist?

You should contact Zurich Assist as soon as possible if any of the following apply:

  • you have a medical emergency while abroad;
  • you have a medical condition that may affect your claim;
  • you are admitted to hospital; or
  • Your outpatient treatment is likely to cost more than £350.

If you do not contact Zurich Assist when you need to, your claim amount may be reduced. This includes situations where you should have reported a medical condition.

Our emergency number: 0141 343 1350 or when abroad: +44 (0) 141 343 1350

The emergency assistance team is available 24 hours a day, every day of the week.

What about non-emergency claims?

If you have simple outpatient treatment that you pay for yourself while abroad, you can make a claim when you get home. Keep your receipts or invoices.

For other non-emergency claims, follow the claims process. Check your policy for any specific reporting or evidence you need to provide.
