Business travel insurance is designed to provide travel insurance protection while you are away for work, with Business Cover adding protection for business equipment and other work-related costs.
What this article helps you do
This article explains what business travel insurance is and the additional protection Business Cover can provide on a work trip.
What can business travel insurance cover?
Business travel insurance can provide protection during your business trip for things such as accidents, illness and other insured travel problems, subject to the terms and conditions of your policy.
Business Cover can also provide additional protection for work-related items and expenses, including:
- business equipment that is lost, stolen or damaged
- computer equipment, such as a work laptop
- communication equipment, including mobile phones and accessories
- hiring replacement business equipment
- essential items if your business equipment is delayed
- emergency courier costs for essential business equipment
- business money
- additional Personal Accident benefits
- additional baggage delay benefits
For example, if your work laptop is lost, stolen or damaged during your trip, it may be considered under the Business Cover section, subject to the applicable limits, conditions and exclusions.
Do I need to add Business Cover?
For policies where Business Cover applies, you need to pay the appropriate additional premium and Business Cover must be shown on your Policy Schedule.
Business Cover is specifically included as an optional section on Silver, Gold and Black policies.
Before you travel for business
