What this article helps you do
This article explains what Winter Sports Cover is, why you may need it and why standard travel insurance may not be enough for a winter sports holiday.
Why do I need Winter Sports Cover?
Winter sports holidays can involve risks that you would not normally face on a standard holiday. Accidents on the mountain can also be more complicated and expensive to deal with.
Are winter sports covered by standard travel insurance?
Winter sports are not covered as standard under our policies.
If you are planning a winter sports holiday, you need to add Winter Sports Cover and pay the appropriate additional premium. The Winter Sports Cover section only applies when the required additional cover has been added to your policy.
Winter Sports Cover can provide additional protection for winter sports activities as well as benefits relating to ski equipment, ski hire, ski packs and piste closure, subject to your policy terms and conditions.
Not every winter sports activity is covered, and some activities have additional restrictions or conditions.
Before you travel
